PORTFOLIO

I create art because it is a relief from everything else in life. I’m a volleyball player at Chattahoochee High School and about to go into my junior year of high school. All of that can weigh pretty heavy on a person and graphic design is an escape. When i get older I would like to be a mediator, and I know art doesn’t really play into that field, but I still enjoy it.

When I am brainstorming ideas for a certain design, I try to make it fun and interesting to look at. My favorite color is blue and I love using Illustrator so I like create my designs using those elements. I usually get my inspiration and ideas from looking at other artist’s designs on the internet, but I still don’t have a favorite graphics design artist.

I created these pieces below because they represent me. Simple, yet fun and interesting. My artist abilities have grown slightly, but even more so, my creativity and ability to think out of the box has grown, too. When creating the story book pages, I made it so that the page has multiple dimensions to it and it is still entertaining for a little kid. For the Speculator page, I actually created the kitchen sink logo and designed the page so the viewers eye never gets bored. I love David Hockney and his use of photography so I did my version of his design as my designer’s choice piece. My decades poster is a little random, but that’s how the 80’s were: random, colorful and fun.
